Thor and Jennifer Bueno's unique blown glass compositions of "river stones" derive from a shared interest in pushing the boundaries of what is expected from glass. Their collaboration allows the artists to create dynamic, one-of-a-kind statement pieces. Thor sculpts and forms the shapes in the glass blowing studio while Jennifer creates the color palettes and compositions for each installation.
"When it comes to creating new designs, both of us are drawn to the phenomenon of light and color that can be found in glass and look for this beauty in our surroundings. Our aim is to create works of art that are spontaneous and yet have a nuanced and well-crafted presence that allows for contemplation." – Jennifer Bueno
